Payroll Direct Deposit is the Best Choice

What is Direct Deposit?

Direct Deposit allows your pay to be deposited into your bank account directly from the University’s bank early on payday morning, rather than receiving pay through a paper paycheck mailed to your home.

Advantages of Direct Deposit

Here are a few of the advantages of using Direct Deposit:

  • Your earnings statement (pay stub) is available online three days prior to payday, and is viewable by computer browsers and most smartphones
  • Delays due to lost or misrouted paper checks are eliminated
  • Better for the environment as paper for checks and envelopes is not used
  • Saves a trip to the bank or ATM

In addition, signing up for Direct Deposit by Tuesday, 12/5/17, will avoid delivery delays for your 12/27/2017 paycheck (for biweekly paid employees.) Biweekly employees receiving paper paychecks will receive a letter about the 12/27/2017 paycheck beginning with the October 4th, and continuing through the December 6th, paycheck envelopes. Links to the letter can be found at the bottom of this page.
